The differences explained

Private Walking Tours
Individual travellers or tour groups book the walking tour exclusively for themselves. You can choose a tour with a prearranged itinerary or ask us to organise a customised tour. The starting time, starting point and finishing point can be chosen freely. Hotel pickup can also be arranged without any problem. Our entire team speaks excellent English.
Public Tours
When you book this tour, you register for a public tour that other guests can also join. The itinerary is fixed and cannot be changed individually. Your payment through our website fully covers participation in the tour, the booking fee and the tour guide’s insurance. An additional tip is not required, although it is always appreciated. The maximum group size is 30 participants.

Walking Tours in Warsaw: Discover History, Culture and Hidden Places

Warsaw is a city that reveals its history step by step. The best way to experience it is on a guided walking tour. At Walking Warsaw, we offer a carefully selected programme of tours that not only shows you what you are looking at, but also explains why the city looks the way it does today. From the beautifully reconstructed Old Town and the broad socialist avenues to the modern skyline, every corner of Warsaw tells a different chapter of its story.

Old Town & More

Our most frequently booked tour, β€œOld Town & More”, is the perfect introduction for first-time visitors. Starting at Castle Square, directly beside the iconic Sigismund’s Column, the tour takes you through the UNESCO-listed Old Town, along hidden streets and to lesser-known places that most visitors would otherwise miss. Along the way, you will learn more about Warsaw’s dramatic past, including its destruction during the Second World War and its remarkable reconstruction afterwards.

For those who would like to explore the city’s history in greater depth, our themed tours offer fascinating insights into the defining events and places that shaped Warsaw. Discover the history of Jewish Warsaw, explore areas of the former Warsaw Ghetto or learn more about the Warsaw Uprising and the city’s struggle for freedom. Every tour is led by a licensed local guide who brings history to life through engaging stories and personal insights.

We offer both public and private tours in English and German. Whether you are visiting Warsaw for the first time or returning to discover more, our tours are designed to provide an immersive and memorable experience. Walking Warsaw stands for authentic tours developed locally – with no outsourcing and no memorised scripts, just genuine stories told by passionate guides.

Join us and discover Warsaw beyond the surface.
