Tourist Bus Line 180

The tourist line 180 passes by the most important sights in Warsaw. This bus line is a small insider tip that makes exploring Warsaw much more comfortable.

The Route

IMPORTANT NOTE: On all weekends and public holidays during the summer season from May to the end of September, the streets Krakowskie Przedmieście and Nowy Świat (the Warsaw Royal Route) are closed to car and bus traffic. A 1.8 km traffic-calmed zone is created (pedestrians must still walk on the sidewalks). During this time, line 180 takes a short detour. This is the first tourist stop of the tourist line 180 coming from the north. Here you will find the entrance to the Catholic cemetery of the Powązki Cemetery , which consists of five denominations.

Right next to the stop is the Warsaw Uprising Monument

This stop is the most important one near the Old Town from Friday evening to Monday morning. As mentioned earlier, the Royal Route is closed to cars and buses during this time. Kapitulna is the last stop before the alternative route begins.

Get off here if you want to reach the Old Town or the Royal Castle.

The “Plac Zamkowy” stop is the northernmost stop on the Royal Route of Warsaw (ulica Krakowskie Przedmiescie). The Royal Route is our absolute number 1 among Warsaw’s sights.

At this stop is also the Old Town of Warsaw , in front of which stretches the Castle Square . Next to it also stands the Royal Castle

From the Bristol stop you can reach the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The Saxon Palace is also being reconstructed there.

From here you go straight to the Chopin Museum on ulica Ordynacka.

Here the streets Nowy Swiat and Aleje Jerozolimskie intersect. You can recognize the junction by the very distinctive artificial palm tree located in the middle of the roundabout. From here you can reach the Palace of Culture in 15 minutes. We recommend taking ulica Chmielna. This is a pedestrian zone and therefore much more relaxed than Aleje Jerozolimskie.

From here you can most easily reach the National Museum

Go to the nearest traffic light intersection and turn into ulica Piekna so that the adjacent park is on your right. At the next intersection, go left into ulica Wiejska to the parliament building (Sejm and Senate) and right into ulica Jazdow to the German Embassy (Jazdow 12, 00-467 Warszawa).

From here you can also reach Łazienki Park. To do so, go to ulica Agrykola. Once at the bottom, there is an entrance gate and 100 meters further a bridge with a wonderful view of the Palace on the Water.

Historical Overview

The bus line was launched on January 2, 1967. At that time, there were hardly any tourists in Warsaw, so no dedicated infrastructure was necessary.

It only became a tourist line on July 1, 2000. Since then, it has been called the Warsaw Tourist Line (Polish: Warszawska Linia Turystyczna).
