Free Chopin Concerts in Warsaw 2026: Program (67th Season)
Important Update Please note that the 67th season of the Chopin Concerts in the Royal Łazienki Park will not begin in May, but on July 5, 2026 on the first Sunday of July. This change is due to ongoing renovation and conservation works around the Chopin Monument, including the restoration of the basin and its immediate surroundings. The goal is to preserve the historical character of this iconic site and prepare it for both the new concert season and the 100th anniversary of the monument’s unveiling.
To ensure that visitors can still enjoy Chopin’s music during this period, recorded performances by outstanding Polish pianists will be played every Sunday at 12:00 from May 17 to June 28, near the Palace on the Isle in Łazienki Park. There will be performed two concerts at 12:00 and 16:00.

How it works
You simply show up, find a spot (stone benches or the surrounding lawn), and enjoy the musical experience. Renowned pianists from Poland and around the world perform here, including artists recommended for Chopin Competition qualification.
There are no tickets, no queues, and no limited seating like in a stadium. Everyone is welcome and can freely choose a place.
Practical tips
• Come early: On warm Sundays it gets crowded (especially before 12:00).
• Picnic style: Bring a blanket, water, and maybe a small snack.
• Weather: Sun protection or a rain jacket – open air means the weather matters.
• Keep it quiet: Put your phone on silent, don’t stop directly in front of seated listeners – it’s a real concert.
• Getting there: The park is large – allow a few minutes’ walk to the monument.

What makes Warsaw’s free Chopin concerts special in 2026
The recitals at the Chopin Monument have been held since 1959. The monument itself was originally unveiled in 1926, destroyed during World War II, and reconstructed after the war – it has stood in its place again since 1958. Since then, the sound of Fryderyk Chopin has been an integral part of summer in Łazienki Park. The park is part of the private royal summer residence of the last King of Poland, Poniatowski. The centerpiece of the complex is the Palace on the Isle. It is such a beautiful area with grand buildings and a harmonious atmosphere, made even more special by the concerts. With over 80,000 spectators per year, the concerts’ high standing is clearly confirmed.
Facilities for people with disabilities
For the Chopin concerts at the Chopin Monument, the event page provides notes for visitors with reduced mobility. In addition, the Muzeum Łazienki Królewskie on the grounds offers general support for visitors with disabilities.
What you can (practically) expect:
- more barrier-reduced paths/accessible areas in the park around the concert location (open-air)
- staff who can assist if needed
- accessible toilets at selected points on the grounds
- in some cases, the possibility to borrow a wheelchair on site (depending on location/availability)
Good to know:
The park also has sections with slopes and paths with different surfaces. For the easiest possible route, it’s worth asking at the entrance or with staff about the best barrier-reduced access to the monument.
For visitors with reduced mobility, access is generally possible; the easiest approach is via Aleje Ujazdowskie and the wide main paths in the park. It’s best to arrive a little earlier to secure a suitable spot.
