    What you can expect

At this guided tour along the Warsaw Royal Route you will see the Holy Cross Church, where rests the heart of Chopin, the campus of the University of Warsaw, the Pilsudski Square with the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the buildings of the two most expensive hotels in Warsaw (Bristol and Europejski | built in the second half of the 19th century), the Presidential Palace, the St. Anna Church and finally the incredibly beautiful Castle Square with a view of the colourful and perfectly reconstructed Old Town and the Royal Castle.

We show our guests the city in a new kind of modern guided tour: Guiding 2.0 follows the philosophy that guests have the right to get to know all possible facets and that although dates and historical facts are very important, they should be put in the background – because everyone can read up on them themselves afterwards. With magnificent buildings, monuments and memorials as a backdrop, we would like to introduce you to life in the city as it really is – because you can’t read about it everywhere!

Your city guide on this tour will be Antoni. He grew up in Germany, has been living in Warsaw since 2013 and has been a licensed city guide for 6 years. He will show you the city in his native language and according to the 2.0 guiding philosophy, which creates a different guiding experience.

    Meeting point

If you do not want to be picked up at the hotel, the city guide will be waiting for you at the following address:

Krakowskie Przedmiescie 3 | In front of the Copernicus monument

Nicolaus Copernicus is a sitting monument on a 2 meter high plinth. On the other side there is a 45 meter high church tower.

The city guide has a white umbrella with him!

    How to get

The meeting point is at the south end of Krakowskie Przedmiescie Street. Only 100 metres further it crosses Nowy Swiat and Swietokrzyska streets. At that intersection there is the metro station "Uniwersytet / Nowy Swiat".

The nearest bus stop is called "Uniwersytet", although this is out of service in the summer season from Friday (6pm) to Monday (8am).

    The Royal Route

Krakowskie Przedmiescie Street is also the northern and last section of the Warsaw Royal Route. There are many must-see sights here.

Here you can expect countless magnificent buildings such as the Bristol Hotel or the Presidential Palace, interesting stories and anecdotes as well as numerous surprises. At the end of the Royal Way, you will find a dreamlike view of the colourful and perfectly reconstructed Old Town.

This was also the playground of Frédéric Chopin, who spent the first half of his life here. And yes: his heart is in one of the churches you will see.

    Miniature Park

Although this section of the Royal Wing got off relatively lightly during World War 2, one of Warsaw's largest palaces, the Saxon Palace, was blown up shortly before the end of the war. A visit to the Miniatures Park will make up for this loss somewhat. It is on the way and the visit is included in the tour price.

    Castle Square (Plac Zamkowy)

The biggest highlight of the tour is the Castle Square with its central Sigismund Column, the Royal Castle and the view of the Old Town or the National Stadium standing on the other side of the river. You will easily find a restaurant, café or bar here. The city guide will assist you in your search and give you useful tips.
