What you can expect
On this guided tour of Warsaw’s Old Town, you will begin in principle on a highlight of the city. The Royal Castle Square, where the city guide will be waiting for you, as the end of the Royal Route and with a view of the wonderfully reconstructed Old Town, is a sight everyone will remember.
After an introduction and explanations about what you can see here (St. Anne’s Church, Royal Castle, Old Town, National Stadium, Sigismund’s Column), you will go to the courtyard of the Royal Residence, only 100 metres from the meeting point. The palace is architecturally part of the entire ensemble of the Old Town and is therefore included in the World Heritage Site of the Old Town.
Then you will walk through Piwna Street, one of the most romantic corners of the Old Town. The city guide will show you narrow alleyways, at the end of which town musicians play and ice-cream sellers offer their wares. You won’t have to flow along with the Herrscharr tourists, because we know our own secret routes that allow you to enjoy the Old Town to the full.
You will visit St. John’s Cathedral (from the outside), St. Martin’s Church from the outside), the medieval market square and the Leaning Circle, enter the panoramic platform on the Warsaw “dunghill” and see a walled-in tank chain, the “German” bell, the city walls and the Barbican. Finally, the guide will show you the birthplace of Marie Curie before continuing to the last stop – the Warsaw Uprising Memorial.

How to get
The tour
The guide will start the tour on time. However, if you are a few minutes late, look out for the white umbrella. At least 10 minutes after the start of the tour, you will surely find the guide on Castle Square.
You will first go to the inner courtyard of the Royal Castle, then through Piwna Street, past St John's Cathedral to the Panorama Terrace. The crowning glory is the Market Square and the Barbican, which has also been reconstructed.
The birthplace of Marie Curie in the New Town marks the end of the tour. The guide will bid farewell to the group at the Warsaw Uprising Memorial.
Take the opportunity to ask the guide about insider tips. He has more than enough of them!
We wish you a pleasant and informative tour!
End point
The tour ends at the Warsaw Uprising Memorial. From there it is an 8-minute walk to the meeting and starting point. From there it is only 5 minutes to reach the market square.
For further details, please ask the city guide, who will be available for a while after the tour.
