O n this city walking tour, the guide will showcase Warsaw off the tourist path.
From Socialist Landmark to Modern Skyline
Starting from the Palace of Culture in the city center, we’ll head towards the adjacent Wola district, passing by Europe’s tallest residential building, Zlota 44, and the neighboring Varso Tower, the tallest building in the EU. Wola, a former industrial area, now juxtaposes old factory ruins with skyscrapers. These contrasts are most visible here in Warsaw.
Layers of History in a Changing District
Amidst this architectural chaos, you’ll visit a modern residential building integrated with a fragment of the Ghetto Wall from 1943. This area was once the location of the Jewish Ghetto from 1940 to 1943. The first part of the tour concludes at Rondo Daszynskiego, the central point of the new Warsaw business district.
Warsaw by the River: Where the City Comes Alive
We’ll take the metro to the Vistula Boulevard, the city’s biggest hotspot and a lesser-known tourist spot. In the vicinity, you’ll find the Copernicus Science Centre, the rooftop garden at the University of Warsaw Library, and Elektrownia Powisle, a shopping center housing a food hall for 600 people and a well-equipped drink bar! This is where we’ll end the tour.

1. Palace of Culture and Science
Meet your local guide at Warsaw’s most famous socialist landmark and learn how the city centre has transformed since the post-war period.

3. Wola – From Industrial District to Business Centre
Explore one of Warsaw’s fastest-changing districts, where former factories, historic buildings and new skyscrapers stand side by side.
4. Ghetto Wall & Jewish History
See an original fragment of the former Warsaw Ghetto wall incorporated into a residential courtyard and hear about the history of this part of the city during the German occupation.
5. Norblin Factory & Warsaw Breweries
Discover two revitalised industrial complexes that have become popular places for food, drinks and nightlife, and receive local recommendations for your stay.

Meeting point

The meeting point is at the main entrance of the 237 m high Palace of Culture and Science. You can recognise the entrance by the large columns and the inscription Palac Kultury.
The city guide has a white umbrella!
Pick up at the hotel?
You have the option during the checkout to choose whether the guide will pick you up at your hotel or if the group will gather at the designated meeting point.
Important note Please note that the walking time from the hotel to the actual meeting point is included in the tour time.
Large Groups Option (above 30 pax)
For groups of more than 30 participants, a second guide is required. Alternatively, you can rent tour guide headsets for €3 per person, allowing the entire group to follow one guide comfortably.

Check-in details
Your guide will be waiting for you at the agreed meeting point.
Please arrive at the meeting point 5 minutes before the scheduled start time. There is no need to arrive earlier. Your guide will be holding a white umbrella, making them easy to recognise.
If you selected hotel pickup during checkout, your guide will meet you at your hotel or accommodation. Please note that pickup time is included in the total tour duration.
If you are running late, your guide will wait for you. Please contact us as soon as possible by phone, SMS or WhatsApp.

Disclaimers
The tour takes place rain or shine. Please check the weather forecast in advance and wear suitable clothing and comfortable walking shoes.
The route and order of stops may be adjusted due to weather conditions, construction works, street closures, public events, security restrictions or other circumstances beyond our control. As this tour passes through some of Warsaw’s most rapidly changing districts, individual streets, buildings or public spaces may occasionally be temporarily inaccessible.
The tour includes a journey by metro. Temporary disruptions, station closures or changes to public transport services may require the guide to adjust the route or use an alternative connection.
Access to revitalised industrial complexes, courtyards and other publicly accessible spaces is subject to their opening hours, private events, construction works and unexpected closures. Entry cannot be guaranteed.
The tour is suitable for strollers and wheelchair users. However, temporary construction works, uneven surfaces or changes to the planned route may occasionally require an alternative accessible route.
Cancellation Policy
You may cancel your booking free of charge up to 48 hours before the activity begins.
Cancellations made between 24–48 hours prior to the start time will incur a 70% fee.
Unfortunately, cancellations made less than 24 hours before the activity start time are non-refundable.
