Short description
Today, the castle is used purely for public purposes. The Centre for Contemporary Art is based here. There is also a restaurant, a café, a library and a cinema. In terms of sightseeing, the castle is beautiful from the outside. The building has not been used privately since the 18th century. The last owner was the last King of Poland Stanislaw August Poniatowski.
What else is there in the castle?
The castle is quite large. Besides the Centre of Contemporary Art, there is also a library, a café, a restaurant and a cinema.
Café and restaurant
You can also come to the castle hungry. The restaurant and café have everything your heart desires
Cinema and book store
This cinema is known for showing rather lesser-known films, as befits a cultural institution. A visit to the cinema is also an option for non-Polish visitors because the films are shown with subtitles (non-English films: Polish and English subtitles | Polish films: English subtitles).
I can also recommend the in-house library, as there are also English-language books there.
Dogs in the castle
Dogs are welcome guests at the centre. However, they must remain on a leash.
Accessibility
The museum is well prepared for visits by people with reduced mobility. Express your wish for assistance, because the people here are happy to do so.
There are two parking spaces for people with reduced mobility in front of the castle. You can also drive up to the main entrance beforehand. At the end of the car park there is an intercom where you can indicate this.
