Short description
The church was consecrated in 1880 after fourteen years of construction. The architect Adolf Loewe (actually a Polish architect) is the originator of this neo-Gothic construction.
The house of prayer suffered numerous damages during the war, especially during the Warsaw Uprising in 1944, but was quickly rebuilt. To the north of the church was the Jewish Ghetto.
